Dubai Municipality has completed its birds and pets market in the Warsan 3 area of the Emirate.

The project was executed by the assets management department of the civic body.

The market is situated in an area of total 45 hectors in Warsan 3 area. A perfect housing for pets trade and related business, the market will also serve as the meeting place for pet lovers.

According to Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, director general of Dubai Municipality, the market will become one of the leading of its kind at a regional and global level given the variety of services and facilities it offers. It will be hosting competitions, exhibitions, workshops for public regarding pet breeding and other educational programs in occasions, he said.

The market has four commercial complexes and will have 80 shops. Auction halls, veterinary clinic, restaurants, cafeteria, quarantine, hotel for dogs and cats, and many other facilities are available in the market.

My visit to DUBAI PETFOOD’s new shop

Yesterday I took a trip out to Dubai Investment Park to visit the new pet shop that is claiming to be ‘The biggest pet shop in the Middle East!’

Upon arrival myself and my friend James were welcomed with a big smile and warm welcome. The shop had a wide range of pet supplies and we were drawn to the printed cat and dog t-shirts 🙂 It is simple things like these that make people talk about the shop, they are different and it is the first time we had seen anything like them here in the Middle East.

We grabbed a basket and started to fill it up with TREATIES for Hope and James dog Latte! The shop has a large section of Aquatic products and sea life. Really amazing section, we were mesmerised by all the different fish. This section is called Think Fish and is run by a lovely young lad called Charlie, he was very helpful in helping me get a new filter for my very small fish tank.

The shop is still in the process of completion and their launch date is 10th April. We were really happy with the service and the range of products but felt it is fair distance for us to travel from Downtown Dubai, however they do deliver (bonus!)
